Recenly Me aswell as Kevin Godard aka Darksnipe, and Jon Morse have been using the program Game Maker.

This program is a good way to get ideas onto a game. The games can be very difficult or fairly simple. Games such as Pacman, Mario can be created. Even Street Fighter like games, Rpg's and All.
